Kishan G. Patel, MD
Retina Specialist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon
Dr. Patel is currently an assistant professor in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He also serves as Associate Program Director for the residency program.
He strives to have strong and meaningful physician-patient relationships. His passion for surgery and teaching has led him to mentor numerous medicals students, residents, and fellows along his own journey, and he was the recipient of the "Golden Apple" fellow teaching award while at Washington University in St. Louis. He currently staffs surgeries for residents and fellows at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Patel's clinical interests include diseases of the retina and vitreous, cataract surgery and complications, and secondary intraocular lens implantation.
Dr. Patel currently accepts patients at the University of Texas Southwestern clinics primarily in Fort Worth and part-time in Dallas.
